What’s inspiring me?
As having a blog might suggest, I love words. I always envy those who can find the perfect words, at that perfect moment to get their point across. (This person is never me!) When people ask me what music I like, I usually end up trying to explain I like good lyrics, regardless of genre and when I have moments of self-doubt or nostalgia, I turn to my favorite quotes for comfort. Be it ones from books, music or just generally wise people (thank you Eleanor Roosevelt). So, I thought I would keep a more permanent track on which words I love at the moment, or should I say, which words describe my life at the moment.
“It’s our choices, that show who we truly are far more than our abilities” – JK Rowling
“Don’t die holding on to your words, ‘cause you know that you’ve got a whole world to change but understand who you got to change first.” – Macklemore
“Atticus told me to delete the adjectives and I’d have the facts.” – Harper Lee
“It’s better to feel pain, than nothing at all. The opposite of love’s indifference” – The Lumineers
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” – Eleanor Roosevelt
“It’s not that we don’t care, we just know that the fight ain’t fair. So we keep on waiting, waiting for the world to change.” – John Mayer
“The greats weren’t great because at birth they could paint, the greats were great cause they paint a lot” – Macklemore
And partly because I used it yesterday in an apt situation, and partly because I’ve always wanted to have my own quotes on a quotes list:
“You can plan ahead, you just can’t worry ahead” – Ruth Winter ( 🙂 )
